Tyrostat™ (rumex occidentalis extract)

Organic hydrafoam
Skin lightening ingredients derived from plants native to the northern Canadian prairies region. Rumex extract is a potent inhibitor of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for pigmentation in the skin. Results of an in vitro study proved Tyrostat is more effective than other skin lightening actives (Arbutin, Turmeric, Hydroquinone). Moreover, Tyrostat has no unwanted side effects, unlike some of these other actives. Tyrostat has also been shown effective in reducing the appearance of age spots. Visible signs of color reduction were observed after 3 weeks.

Mixed Tocopherols 95%
A potent blend of chirally correct, natural, full-spectrum tocopherols and tocotrienols to provide a significantly more effective broad spectrum epidermal and dermal antioxidant protection than standard tocopherols. Halts the formation of free radicals upon skin with exposure to UVA radiation and other sources of oxidative stress. Reduces trans epidermal water loss and strengthen skin’s barrier function.

Botanical Complex SCA™
A proprietary, water soluble blend of nettle, melissa, elderflower, cleavers and plantain extracts known for their astringent and anti-inflammatory action.

Botanical Complex LSCD™
A proprietary, oil soluble blend of burdock, elderflower, lavender, calendula and cleavers extracts known for their anti-inflammatory action.

Canadian Willowherb™
A natural, anti-irritant extract from Northern Canadian Prairies plants. Proven in clinical research to have strong antibacterial activity. Independent tests in human subjects show a strong reduction of chemical and UV-induced skin redness within 30 minutes of use.

Wasabi Extract
Obtained from the roots of the Wasabia Japonica plant indigenous to Japan. Contains a very high concentration of Sinigrin, a potent antioxidant that has been shown to directly inhibit oxidative reactions in DNA. Undergoing scientific examination for its potential neoplastic (anti-skin cancer) properties.

Application

AM / PM
Dispense 1-2 metered doses and gently smooth over entire face, avoiding the eye area. Strongly recommended for use with Pro-C. Appropriate physical sunblock is essential.
